 4. Carltonaut’s Travel Guide to the National Parks in Utah by Jason with Carltonaut’s Travel Tips

utah national park guide

Utah is home to five of the most amazing national parks – Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion. Families travel from around the world to hike their trails or venture into the great outdoors. Knowing what each of these national parks has to offer can help you with the planning process.

What trails are the best for younger kids and which ones offer a little more adventure? What other activities are available besides hiking? (i.e., river rafting, horseback riding, scenic drives, etc.) What are the lodging and dining options in and around each national park?

Jason has put together a 20-page downloadable guide to the Utah national parks to help you plan your visits, including a map of each park to help you know where the trailheads are located. He’s also included a graphic guide to help you know the nuances of each of the trails. If you want to make a road trip out of it and visit more than one, there are some suggested itineraries and driving directions from Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Denver.

The downloadable guide costs just $5 and also includes links to other activities across Utah, including slot canyons, waterfalls, skiing, kayaking, state parks, and more.

Plus, 50% of each guide sold is donated to an organization to help raise awareness of organ donation.
